1. I have heard that Los Cabos, in the Carribean, wins hands down. In the U.S., I'd pick Malibu or Holiday (near Sarasota, FL).

5. The Little Beach on Maui or the Lumahai'i Beach on Kaua'i are ptobably the top 2.
6. Siesta Key Beach, Florida has always been ranked in the top beaches in the world. Siesta boasts beautiful white "sugar sand" that looks more like snow than sand. It is a site to behold!

8. The camel beach in Kargi (Bodrum Peninsula/Turkey). Clear blue water, sandy beach, not overcrowded (surrounded by some apartment houses), only one hotel, some restaurants. See pics at the link below:
