anybody else out there get tired of people always talking about florida?
It's especially hard for me to hear about everyone going there I never been anywhere, probably never will have the opportunity don't know anyone out of state. I feel all shut up about that place because I feel like I'm missing out on some magic that's there or something. I know they have beautiful beaches with white sand and stores are probably better, cleaner there probably? I don't care for heat too much, I live in Buffalo, NY only been to the suburbs nearby or to Niagara Falls,Canada, am I really missing much can someone who's been there tell me? the guy next store to me lived in MIami when he was young I asked him before what's there to do there there isn't to do here he laughs and goes nothing, but there club scenes better than Buffalo's club scene he said it's real humid there too. (I wouldn't like that I can't stand it in the summer when it gets like that in Buffalo).

- I had not noticed but then never been to the US my mum I think went to Florida. but where ever you live soon becomes boring if you always look at what is else where you need to forget Florida and enjoy what is in your neighborhood, I am in the UK but have traveled to Egypt and Pakistan every area is different maybe nice to visit but I am always glad to come home.
- no
- I get tired of old people coming here every winter and dying all over our streets. I hate living in Florida, it's a real sh*thole and I wish people would stop talking about it too like it's some great and wonderful place.
- Florida is AWESOME!! They have beautiful beaches with white sands, and the stores are cleaner and better!!
- I've lived in Florida all my life. Honestly, you probably don't think that New York is all that amazing, yet people down here go up there all of the time, ranting and raving about it's beauty. I think that Florida is a pretty cool place to visit. It gets old living here. If you don't live near a beach or theme park, it's pretty normal, excluding the weather. There are some really bad parts, and some really redneck parts, like every state. Clearwater Beach, Marco Island, and Orlando are probably my personal choices for the only worthwhile places in the state. Maybe Ybor City, but that's debatable. All in all, I would say that if you get a chance, come down to Florida. But stay on the beach. Or in a really nice hotel. Or else you won't have too much fun.
- I've been to Florida several times, my favourite part is the Gulf Coast at a place called Sanibelle Island. It is truly gorgeous with really fine, white, baby powder like sand. You are already in the US - its not that far from you. There are inexpensive flights to FLA all the time. Save your money for the hotel/motel (at least within walking distance of beach). Check out the internet re: Gulf Coast. In Canada, we can swim on Pacific coast in summer, but its not the same.
- Well, I live in FL and I can tell you that it is hotter here. Since I grew up in the state I'm used to it though. You just learn to not be outside working from about 12 to 2 or 3 in the middle of summer. Our beaches are beautiful. Florida is also the naturist capital of North America, although from what I hear NY is pretty tolerant of topfreedom for women. Don't know much about the club scene, as I don't go out to those often. There are a lot of them though. And of course we have the Mouse House of Orlando - Disney World. Its a massive tourist area, so visit there first if you come here, just to get it out of your system. :) Maybe you can travel around sometime soon and see some other parts of the country. We Floridians like to travel out of our state as well... nothing like the mountains in the summer to help us cool off...
- I have only one friend that lives in Florida, so it's seldom;dom talked about
- Florida is just a place you go when you're an old timer. It's not all it's cracked up to be. I'd much rather be on the beaches of California any day! Miami is a hot and miserable place unless you like hurricanes. But I so know what you mean about people talking about it. I have a lot of friends who live there and one guy in particular calls quite often and first thing he says is, "So how's the weather there?" Then he never fails to mention what the temperature is...as if I gave a rats butt. Now I always jump the gun and give him my complete local weather forecast out of the way before I give him a chance to give me his.
