whats the best place in the caribbean to stay with beautiful white sand beaches ??

My husband and I are looking to take a week vacation in the Caribbean coming this Feb. or early March (need to escape the cold weather is Illinois!) I went to three travel agents and still cannot make up our minds we have no children yet were a young couple (22 and 25) we want to scuba dive (we are certified) we have gone on two cruises to their we Love St. Thomis andTurks and Caicos but did not like Grand Caymen (seemed to touristy) Plese give us some ideas of where to go with amazing white sand beaches and clear water and if you have stayed there before please let us know of hotels you have enjoyed while there Besides Sandels (to much money for us) the most I am willing to spend with flight and hotel is $4000 10 Points to the best answer!

1. St. Barts or St. Thomis. Barts is a little pricey, but sometimes you can find a good deal. Both have great beaches and scuba diving. Look for all inclusive hotel deals. Do not stay in any on the beach huts, lack of bug nets/windows was scary.
2. I have not been to Beleize but know people who have and they loved it! Stay on one of the many atolls and you will love it! They will have only one resort on it so it's like having your own private island. Also if you are a diver they have what is called the The Blue Hole and it sounds amazing!!! You can also go to the mainland and tour mayan ruins.
3. We went to Bonaire and Aruba in Dec and fell in love with Aruba. The beaches are BEAUTIFUL and very clean. Cozumel or Cabo are also both gorgeous and a little more cost efficient.

5. I recommend Puerto Rico. The most beautiful beaches are on the islands of Vieques and Culebra. You could look at some of these beaches on You Tube.
6. I agree Culebra & Vieques islands in Puerto Rico are absolutely amazing! Culebra's Flamenco beach was voted one of the best beaches in the world by the travel channel. Vieques also has gorgeous white sand beaches & a bioluminescent bay! You kayak in the mangroves until you reach the bay. The water glows in the dark its amazing! & the best part is these islands are very small w/ not many tourists. You will feel safe & welcome in the local small towns here.
