- 1. The Pinnacles – unique rock formations scattered throughout a desert about three hours north of Perth. 2. The Perth Bell Tower – it copped some flack at the start but it houses the world’s largest bells and is quite a nice looking structure to identify Perth with. 3. The view of the Swan River from the Treetop Walk at King’s Park. 4. Dolphins swimming in Mandurah – you are guaranteed to see dolphins if you linger by the waterways for long enough. I spotted a mother and calf when I was there last. 5. Inside Jewel Cave in Margaret River – I think it is the prettiest cave to visit out of the five or so that are open to the public. 6. Cable Beach at Broome – long long long, white white white! Beautiful. 7. The SuperPit Goldmine at Kalgoorlie!!! It’s huge and at least twice the size of the township itself. You could take some pics in the old underground mines too. Talk about the real WA! Kal is so red and dusty. 8. The Basin at Rottnest Island. This beach is so pretty and has amazing snorkelling just offshore. Make sure you get a quokka or a peacock in the shot! 9. The old whaling station near Albany on the south coast. Might sound like a funny suggestion but it is a really interesting part of the state's history and has a really eerie feel to it. 10. You - eating fish and chips on the beach! Any beach! If you're in the city then Cottesloe, Fremantle or Scarborough. Otherwise take your pick anywhere along the coastline. (Have to give Esperance a mention - it is so beautiful there too!) The real Western Australia is made by its people aswell - so include lots of them in your shots if you can.
- 1. KCGM Superpit - I wouldn't have expected it to be so amazing, but this open-cut mine was so big and I was like the size of a bolt from the wheel of one of the trucks! 2. Cottesloe Beach - The water is blue, the sand is white and the pavilion takes you back to another era. 3. Small sailing boats like the little catamarans on the river, with the skyscrapers in the background. It is such a juxtaposition. 4. The camels on Cable Beach at sunset is a must do and something you wouldn't want to not photograph. The colours are so pretty and the reflection on the water is stunning. 5. Fish Hook Bay in Rottnest Island - When I first saw the blue and green clear water I couldn't look away. It is mesmerising. 6. The Karri trees down south near Margaret River - they are so tall and straight! I went for a romantic hike in the forest and took pictures by lying on the ground and looking upwards. It really does the tress justice. 7. Turquoise Beach at the Ningaloo Marine Park - Take a pic of you and whoever you are with in the water. It really is turquoise and is more beautiful than anything that I saw in the Caribbean. You can also see amazing fish and coral if you have an underwater camera. 8. The Manning Gorge Waterfall. Especially in the rainy season when there is so much water it shows a different side of WA - it isn't all beach and desert! 9. The Bungle Bungle Ranges - Wow! These rock formation are like NOTHING on Earth! The shapes and colours are so amazing. It is great to photograph them from the air as well as the ground. 10. Lake Argyle in Kununurra - This area is being used in the new Baz Luhrman film so you would expect it to be great for cinematography reasons. The lake is beautiful with the red mountains reflecting onto it at sunset.
- 1. Margaret River Surf - best in the state, 2. Rottnest Island - most renowned tourism spot, 3. Swan Valley Wineries - awesome hillside locations, 4. Geographe Bay - aaahh the serenity, 5. Remote Kimberley - local indingenous footy teams on red earth - such a sight!, 6. Kings Park - iconic, 7. Fremantle strip - best coffee in town, 8. Bell Tower overlooking the Swan River - Perth in a nutshell, 9. Monkey Mia - Dolphins...history, 10. Subiaco Oval during an AFL match - the occassion once a week where 43,000 West Australians get together!

- Wave Rock What an amazing natural land formation to see. My funny story about my visit there happened quite a few years ago. I went to Hyden to see the beautiful Wave Rock, on one of our long weekends with a bunch of friends. At the same time my young Cousin (4 year old) came to visit my family. She asked my Mum where I was. My mum replied "Noelene gone to Hyden" 2 hours later Pauline came back to my mum and asked "Auntie Joan, where's Noelene Hiding” She had been looking for me for 2 hours. We still laugh over that story. http://www.waverock.com.au/
- Hmmm too many to choose from. But my pick for the best beach to take photos has to be Esperance. Trust me, it's worth the trip! White sand like icing sugar and crystal clear waters. The majority of the locals reckon that you don't need to photo shop any of the pictures. Lucky Bay was named the Best Beach in Australia for 06 and I've heard that a major German car company (most likely Porsche) have been filming a an ad for a new sports car.
- Most of my favourites have been covered, but I'd add Bluff Knoll and the Recherce Archipelago off Esperance.
- kings park the bungle bungles broome caves at yanship fremantle supper pit all over kallgoolie any beach the gurges up north wild flowers

- 1. Looking downhill along a dirt road 15km North of Pemberton, from the cab of a 4WD jeep with the hood down, beer and a potato pie in hand, and a kangaroo on the road in the way. 2. From the highest lookout point above the beach at Margaret River, during The Masters competition. 3. Looking across the highway 70km South of Carnarvon, looking inland toward the desert, a small group of emus running frantically from the camera. 4. At the base of the cliffs South of Nullabor, looking East along the coast, with the waves crashing below your feet as you hang from an abseiling line, with seagulls on the water and a hawk circling above, a whale in the distance. 5. The superpit at Kalgoorlie Boulder Gold Mine, standing at the edge of the cliff, with the top of the screen lined up with the horizon, with the mine in full operation. 6. A small group of hikers fully decked out with equipment, standing on the lookout overlooking Mundaring Wier on the Bibbulmun Track, a large group of cockatoos flying over the dam and a kookaburra in a tree in the corner of the screen. 7. Standing on Barrack Street Jetty, with pigeons in the foreground, the bell tower in the centre, the city in the distance on the right, Kings park in the distance on the left, and a coffee table with a cappuccino and a custard slice on it at the bottom of the screen. 8. From about half way up the access road from Cottesloe train station to the beach, giant palm trees with a massive flock of galahs and parrots in the treetops, Cottesloe beach sand and the waves in the distance, the golf course to the left, the cafe strip to the right, taken at sunset on the hottest day of the year, overflowing with people. 9. An aerial photo of the suburban sprawl that is Perth, Perth city in the centre to give viewers an idea of it's relative size, taken from the highest possible altitude on a cloudless day. 10. A photo of Rottnest Island, taken from the Rottnest Channel Ferry, with a pod of dolphins in the foreground, taken on a mildly stormy day with lightning strikes impacting the ocean behind the island, with heavy rain but minimal wind sheer.

- That's easy, all 10 places can be found in Newman, WA Now before I have bullets firing at me, allow me to explain why. I hail from Auckland, NZ and over 10 years ago I lived in that town where I've left my heart behind. I lived with my Grandparents when I was 11 years old and looking back it was the best time of my life. The town as a whole can be photographed over and over again. The red sand, the noise from the mines, the people, the culture and the vibe of that town was what really struck me, even as I was nearing the end of my stay in Newman. That's why I say my heart was left in Newman Some of the pictures taken by my grandma I still have to this day and will cherish those forever are images of my time in that town and my schooldays there, too! And I plan to take more pictures of that wonderful place later this year when I return for a visit. So shoot me if I'm biased but, this town will always bring nothing but great memories for me everytime I talk about Newman.
- 1. Roebuck Bay when the stairway thingy is happening 2. Dolphins at Monkey Mia. Get outta here! 3. Bungle Bungles from the air 4. Sunset at Cable Beach 5. Underwater at the reef at Exmouth There you go theres 5 go find 5 more... Like a really wintry break on a Margaret River surf beach... Or Paddy Rowe calling the Dugong in at one arm point. Did I mention the dolphins? Get outta here!! Go find the rest yourself!!
- Kalgoorlie Gold Mines If you wanna see the world get raped by its own people theres a story to tell. They dig the body of the earth and make money to please the economy yet the locals beleive its actually town history. I thought it was sad that money rules in such a low down town full of prositutes, Fringe Dwellers (homeless Aboriginals), and teachers and doctors leave the place. Kids here rob schools and steal from the elderly, they attack taxi drivers and oncoming cars. Taxi drivers get attacked while they work. Even the local Drag Queen "Fanny Cracker" left the town. Hoons die in driving eratically around town. Cops are corrupt and not very helpful when you get robbed by the natives more than 5 times. Cultural people of other countries think they own the place. I could go on and on thats why i left the place... good to make money but not to live long term. They cant respect the land and expect respect in return.
- photos of animals and/or people in the outback, the suburbs, the cities and towns.
- 1. Ningaloo Reef and the whale sharks (my home town) 2. Valley of the Giants between Walpole and Denmark. (grew up in Denmark and went there all the time) 3. Margaret River surf and wineries 4. The Pinnacles 5. Dolphins at Monkey Mia 6. Kimberleys...Bungle Bungles especially. 7. Cable Beach Broome 8. Karrajini National Park 9. View from Kings Park (hubby proposed to me there!) 10. Pristine beaches in the south of the state...Esperence, Denmark, Albany.
- Those 'Monkey Mia' photos are hard to beat. I agree about Esperance beaches especially at dawn. What about - the HUGE Wagin ram, especially if you take it from underneath so you can see his one enormous testicle representing all the sheep studs in the area In Perth those statues near the Supreme Court Gardens. In 1969 a taxi stopped there and my, then husband, and I got out and were amazed at how CLEAN every-thing was. It was our first day after having emigrated to the best place in the world
- i would say - for a true WA - step outside the box.. shoot me if you wish - but they are other places you have Newman Pt hedland Karrathra Yes- all rural areas but still part of WA.. In Hedland - for Eg - you have the HUGE Salt piles(look like snow mountains) from Rio Tinto The Iron Ore from BHP The rural horse races are always a big event - on matter where The Black rock stakes.. Not only that - the natural formation of the world around you..
- Tree Top Walk (south coast) - magnificent old gum trees which only grow there. Monkey Mia - lovely place with dolphins The Pinnacles - doesn't matter how the weather is when there, they're simply great (been there 3 times and each tiem weather was different, even great when raining) Rottnest Island - quokkas, "the big rats", the scenery so lovely Karijini NP and Kalbarri NP - never seen such places before, really made me a little cry when I left
- Dunno about the other 9 but definitely the serpy falls as number 1. It has the most picturesque views and everything. You can go swimming, climbing and loads of other things. Hope it helped! Liv
