1. Your best bet would be to contact any one of the employment service companies in Broome. Paspaley is has a large presence in the city and hires a lot of young people to work shifts on the pearling boats. The shifts are something like 3 weeks on and 2 days off for a certain period of months, but the pay is good. The work that I have seen on my visit included jobs like shell cleaning, hauling, line work, etc. They may have more permanent jobs as well. They have a lot of different operations that do not involve direct work with the shell.
