  1. Yes I am from the mid-west and it is fantastic we might have to wait awhile(WA) hence the nickname but we really don't care we have great life style I live 100 metres from the beach and if I want to go camping there are plenty of spots. We really are Australia's best kept secret.Come on over for a holiday you will be pleasantly surprised
  2. hi im from Perth, WA. Perth is a really small city. Perth is a really nice place to live and we arent far from nice places in WA like Margaret river. The only thing I dont like abouth Perth is that the nightlife isnt all that great compared to Melbourne or Sydney. Oh and the airfares to get to Melbourne, Sydney or Queensland cos more if you are coming from Perth. Before moving on Perth, I lived in Rual WA, in the Great Southern. That area is really quiet nice and peaceful - but theres not a lot of hussle and bussle for me!!
  3. I live in Rockingham, one of the southern suburbs of Perth. Its a nice little place but definately get out of the city and see the rural areas.
  4. I am from Rockingham as well, but go to Exmouth at this time of year for the winter months, it is a great tourism spot 1300ks from Perth, swimming and fishing is great and the national park is lovely, you can snorkel over the coral just by stepping off the beach, come on over.
  5. i am from Perth love the city sunny friendly not to big not to small i wouldn't live any where but Perth
  6. i live five minutes going north out of the city. perth seemed to be a smallish place 10 - 15 years ago, but in the last couple of years it really seems to have just taken off. houses have tripled in price and the traffic and parking inner city is disgraceful for a city of this size - ie small. seems like the govt wants to attract every man and his dog to perth due to the huge skills shortage but is not willing to spend the money to keep up with the services and infrastructure!!!
  7. Same as Rhi Rhi. Grew up in the country, South West, inland. I've lived in Albany, south on the coast, and been way up North in Karratha. It's a very beatiful state, but I love the busy city life, even though I'm sure it's tiny compared to Australia's other cities.
  8. I am from Perth WA and I love it. It is casual and laid back with beautiful weather. We have gorgeous beaches and it is a great place to bring up a family. As previously stated the nightlife is not as full on as cities in the Easterns states but it depends what you are looking for. There is plenty of places to go for dinner and heaps of great pubs if you know where to go.
  9. Hi I am also from Rockingham, does that tell you something? It must be a great place to live. I was born in UK and have lived here for 27years now and love every minute of it. Its so close to the beach, shops, fremantle, everything what more can anyone ask for? If you visit you will love it. Good luck
  10. I moved here...I live about 30mins north of the city.
