What does the affect of air pollution have on the great barrier reef?

1. it gets in the water and kills the plants
2. toxic particulates that float in the air as part of the pollution settle in the ocean and kill the animals that are the colonies of coral. also,thick smog-like pollution in the air reduces the amount of sunlight available to corals that they need to live.
