can u tell me some info about the great barrier reef?

about the great barrier reef? i just need to know where it is? how old it is? what is happening to it:? when it came to the world? what is the tourist doing to the reef?

1. very little, is a very delicated ecosystem and is endangered, check the web! also, its located in australia somewhere and tourism is defenitly affecting it by adding basicly trash and stressing its components out
2. northwestern australia it's like 2 million YO i think, crown of thorn starfish are eating it away faster than it can replace itself, and pollution/oceanic warming is also killing the reefs around the world, tuorists are doing 2 things tot he reef, taking animals and corals off the reef for souvenirs and bringing awareness to the damage done to the reefs, kind of a double edged sword.
