How will global warming affect the great barrier reef?

we hear about the melting ice caps all the time, but what about the great barrier reef? rawk!

  1. It is bleaching the reef. More than 20% in the past ten years has become dead.
  2. Since there is no Global Warming,...nothing!! If sea life is so tenuous that a 1 degree increase in water temperature kills it, then it should be living anyway. There have been thousands of animal and plant species that have come and gone since the beginning of earth. For all you Darwinists, natural selection. There will predominate, a more hardy coral. Do give up hope.
  3. Coral is very sensitive to changes in sea level, temperature, UV light, turbidity, and salinity. Those are all things that climate can have an affect on, whether it is a climate change towards cooler or warmer. If the change is too rapid for the coral to adapt to, then those coral will not survive.
