how to gain endurance, flexbility, and still be a beach girly fit type?
im 13, 110 pounds, 5'1, and im good at sports, but i usually stay at home. i try to eat healthy stuff like naturual and organic foods and water but in some basis i eat other stuff. i suck at running the mile, last time i did it my legs were stiff and bones felt like collasping and i got 11 minutes...but next year i need to do it in 6 minutes without stoping, and flexibilty i need cuz my bones are too stiff and im kinda thick but in some way skinny, cuz my belly is not flat, and when u stretch my skin under my arms u can see a lil flubber, and my hips and thyes are big. so i want to have good endurance, flexibility, and be really fit..but i dont want to be manly or be muscular or anything like that ....any suggestions, videos, workouts...would be great thanks!

- yoga or pilates for flexibility...as for running, get out and build up to it...you have all summer to improve your time. Have a parents mark a mile by driving from your house to a point, then work on running as much of it as possible, each day push a little further til you are able to make it the full mile, then work on speed.
- yoga seems like the best for you. we just got a book at the library about yoga for teens. it will increase flexibility and not bulk you up. you sound like a normal 13-year-old body shape. that will change fast as you grow. to gain endurance for running, just run every day.
- At 13 you still have a kind of baby body so that is why you may have a little paunch and chubby arms. 110 pounds is a good weight for your height. Jogging and walking everyday is good endurance training and yoga plus tai chi will will give you flexibility, balance and tone so nothing goes flippity floppity that shouldn't. Look at your parents and grandparents or aunts and uncles ( the blood relatives only) and analyze their body types. Yours will be similar. So if heavy thighs or a large derriere are common you will want to keep your weight under control and your exercise commitment up for the rest of your life to keep those contours within limits. Also if flat chests are common plan to spend more on padded bras or enjoy the coltish look and the envy of more chubby women. You are smart to be thinking sensibly about this so you don't get sucked into a false body image with the problems related to that.
