- Change D7 movie world for the bluemountains, why go see stuff You'll see on the screen anyway.
- If you have the time after arriving at the Gold Coast on Day 6 try to visit Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. It is well worth a visit, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Check out the website below. http://www.currumbin-sanctuary.org.au/content/home.asp? It looks to me as though you are going to have a wonderful holiday here in Australia. Referring to the above answer, a good idea but: You can't visit the Blue Mountains instead of Movie World they are west of Sydney not west of the Gold Coast.
- Three days in Sydney is good, considering you cover the major city sights, enjoy a harbour cruise, and have a day free to explore. I suggest during that time you take a walk through the Rocks area which is inner city, adjacent to the harbour and has much historical interest. Take the monorail above the city CBD to enjoy lunch at Darling Harbour which has a myriad of interesting shops and a very pleasant outlook over the harbour. Sydney Underwater Aquarium is located there and could be of interest to you. Cairns is a beautiful city with many places to explore and it's a shame you don't have more time there. The Outer Reef cruise is magical as long as you don't suffer from sea-sickness. The cruise involves a buffet, spending time at the outer reef swimming and snorkelling. The waters can get a little churny and if you're not the seafaring, swimming type, you may not enjoy it as much as the other options I suggest. Instead I highly recommend that you visit the highly awarded Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park just 15 minutes out of Cairns, or the Kuranda Scenic Railway which takes you through beautiful mountainous hillscapes on a line built by early Australian pioneers. The links below give details of both. When you arrive at the Gold Coast, it's either a flight to Brisbane with coach travel to the Gold Coast, or a flight to Brisbane with on-going flight to Coolangatta airport which is at the southern end of the Gold Coast and about 30 kilometres south of Surfers Paradise. I'm not sure where you'll be staying but I expect Surfers Paradise. You could spend an afternoon there easily just wandering around and taking in the atmosphere. Take a walk down to Broadbeach along the beach or the road. Stop and see Q1 which is the highest residential tower in Australia along the way. I can't think of anything better than taking a tour along the The Great Ocean Road from Melbourne. Enjoy your time in Australia.
- It looks good because your seeing the major sights and still have some free time. Im not sure if perhaps you like shopping, because Australia has some great shopping destinations, if not there are lots of National parks, or museums, or pretty much anything suited for anyone. You will find something in the brochures at hotel receptions. The only thing I can really say is that a week and a half in Australia generally lets you see the main bits, but not much else, a free day means youve gotta see something in that city. Australia is big, and takes more than a day to really go anywhere other than the capitals. Personally I love Perth, but thats because Ive grown up with the stresses of Sydney, basically theres nothing in Perth that isnt elsewhere in either of the three places your visiting. Also, Movieworld and Seaworld are the best 2 of the themeparks, Dreamworld is over rated and Wet and Wild needs a sunny day that you cant plan for in advance. But I think your trip sounds very fun, and like I said the only thing is that you only see the general stuff, but for a tourist thats all they really wanna see, so it sounds great.
