Looking for a luxury resort, very near a beach, within one hours drive from Sydney?

I'm looking to book somewhere for a few days over new years with a friend who is visiting from London. We don't want to spend time travelling, can anyone sugest somewhere to stay, luxury, perhaps in Manly, or within an hour from Bondi (where I live)
