Garie Beach

where are some relatively non-crowded beaches in Australia in February?

I've always wanted to have a beach party for my birthday (February) but its always too cold then to do it where I'm from. So I say screw North America's February climate rules and take a trip Down Under :) So where are some places to go that aren't overly crowded at that time of the year?

  1. North Stradbroke Island near Brisbane is pretty quiet in february. The surf is still good, white sands and wildlife walks.
  2. Any beach in the state of Victoria. All of them will be non-crowded because they are all too daggy for anyone to visit them.
  3. Actually I don't think any of the beaches will be overly crowded, but best to steer clear of Bondi an Manly in Sydney. Anywhere would be great but it 's probably better to stick to the southern half of the country at that time of year (Sydney/Perth and south) as further north it can be a bit on the rainy side in February. Jervis Bay on the NSW south coast is a great place to go.
