Are the beaches in North Carolina covered in oil from the BP Spill?

We are taking a vacation there to see my brother return from Afghanistan (Lance Corporal - Go Marines!) so i just wanted to know are the beaches there (near Camp Legeune) covered in oil from the BP oil spill?

8. I want to personally thank your brother for serving in the Marines. My father is retired Marine, I was actually born on Camp Lejune. We are taking a vacation this summer in the Outer Bank,N.C, and were a little concerned as well but I don't think it will be a problem this summer. If things keep going the way they are the oil may eventually reach further up the coast but no need to worry about that for this summer.

10. No. That info is on the news every night on TV or in the daily newspaper. Or, you could look up the local newspapers for NC and see what they're saying about the condition of their beaches. The oil spill is in the Gulf of Mexico.
