What part of North Carolina beaches should I go to?

I am planning a beach vacation for NC but I don't know where I should go. Can someone please tell me a nice location in NC to vacation at? Thanks

2. Anywhere along the Outer Banks is very nice. I have gone to Nagshead several times and it is AWESOME. The weather was fantastic and the waves in the water were strong enough that we could body board which was fun for the kids. There's also some good shopping, restaurants, and night life within a long walk/short drive. And you can get fresh steamed seafood to take back to the house for a great dinner too. If fishing is your thing, it's good too. Great striped bass fishing in the sound or you can go out for deep sea and get into yellow fin tuna, marlin, etc.
