Is it too cold to swim in tasmania?
We will be there late feb/early march. I see that there are many beautiful white sand beaches, but I have noticed that there are never any pictures of people swimming in Tasmanian tourism pictures. Is it too cold? And is it sunny this time of year?

- the water is freezing, the air is freezing and everyone is inbred. seriously they all walk around with limps yuk
- It's warm now there. I don't live there but I've checked their weather.
- I was in Tasmania March this year for a visit and I can tell you first hand that the water is freeeezing The water looked so good that I decided to have a swim - I am not exaggerating when I say that whilst my chest was under water I could not breathe!! It is almost a shame as they are so damn beautiful Some pics of Tassie beaches on our blog too if you like
- You have to pick your beaches and times. January and February has the warmest weather and water temperature at that time places along the east coast around Swansea and Bicheno or 7 Mile beach and Kingston beach on Hobart are good at this time. If you have a wet suit March will still be very comfortable for diving, surfing/body surfing etc
