Iaido or ninjutsu training sydney manly?
hi i'm 14 and i live at many, northern beaches, sydney. and i was wondering if there was any iaido or ninjutsu dojos around. i want to train with weapons more than hand to hand. can someone please help me or suggest a different martial art (not kendo please) that works with weapons. thanks! well i knew that i would have to go and to some training before they would tech with metal weapons but i was asking for a location on any dojos around my named location. if there are any then j will Heck up on their regulations which may not be the same as what you have just stated.

- You are in for a shock if you think that you will not be doing hand to hand in Ninjitsu. In fact, you will be doing primarily hand to hand until you are judged capable of using weapon without hurting yourself or anyone around you. Weapons, especially metal, edged weapons are not for beginners. As for Iaido, I am uncertain if you will find some place that will teach you without previous experience in something else. They taught Iaido where I studied Aikido, but would not teach it to anyone below a certain rank. A weapon is an extension of the wielder. If one cannot control their body appropriately unarmed, there is no chance they can do so with a weapon. Again, edged, metal weapon are not for beginners.
- If you're after Iaido, have a look at the NSW Kendo Association , for their Iaido club listings. I realise you're not interested in Kendo, but the association has Iaido listings. I believe the one that might be closest to you is Shinbukan, at Hornsby, last I knew, it was Doug Stouffers? that looked after the club.
