Australian short story, what should i write about?

We have to write a short story that has something Australian in it like the beach, aborginies etc but I can’t seem to think of a plot Any ideas?

1. Try something that has to do with the environment.
2. Be safe and go for the stereotypes, to be honest. Such as . . . The balmy, warm summers. Hot christmas weather. Southern cross tattoos. Thongs, barbeques, pubs. Beer and cricket. AFL football. The plot could include any of that. Maybe something along the lines of a girl from another country moving to a state in Aus and discovering all the good things about it. Maybe something like, an aboriginie making friends with an Aussie girl. Racial issues perhaps, like someone in a Aus school being bullied because they're asian or african or something, and how they overcome the bullying? A young teenager wanting to make it big with a football career? A teenager who wants to go on student exchange to france or something, and has to decide whether or not she wants to leave beautiful, sunny Aus? A female who wants to play professional cricket? Just some of my lame ideas but I hope they help or give at least, a little perspective in what you would want as a plot.
