Best Australian Beaches?
I'll be staying in Sydney, Australia for about 1-week and would love to know about some great beaches. I've heard good things about Bondi Beach, Coogee Beach, Palm Beach, Manly Beach, etc... Looking for a peaceful, serene, not packed full of tourists, gorgeous waters beach. Some insight is much appreciated! Thank you!

- Palm beach would be the most peaceful and least tourists . I don't know what the beaches are like at Watsons bay but I guess they would be peaceful as one of them i have just read about is a nudist beach. If you really want the best beaches then Queensland the Gold Coast is the place to be.
- Go to the beaches you have not heard of. They will have fewest tourists. On the north side Freshwater north of Manly, Curl Curl, Dee Why, Long Reef, Bungan (although you have to walk a bit), Turrimetta, Avalon and Whale Beaches are uncrowded and beautiful. If you have a car the beaches in the Royal National Park to the south of the city are superb and you also get to see the national park on the way. Look for Wattamolla, Garie and Burning Palms Beaches.
- The beaches you mentioned are cesspools. If you want clean, gorgeous waters, and serenity, then go either north towards the central coast, or south towards Wollongong, there a plenty of quiet clean beaches along the way.
- As i live in QLD (sunshine coast) i would have to say Noosa Main Beach so so nice and thee water is just beautiful but in Sydney i would have to say either Bondi or Manly have fun in Sydney
- Unfortunately it is unlikely that you'll find a secluded beach since you're only staying in Sydney. Sydney is Australia's most populated city and all the beaches get busy. It depends on the time of year and time of day though. Australia has plenty of secluded beaches but you're just not going to find them near the big cities. Good luck finding somewhere in the Sydney region that isn't packed full of tourists though!
- I do live in Australia, but not Sydney. I've heard that it's pretty stupid going to Bondi beach and that it's over rated. Cause so many people know about it, everyone goes to bondi beach and it's just COMPLETLY packed. And its like impossible ton get a spot. But if I was on a holiday in Sydney I'd still go to bondi beach. I mean, why not? Just don't get too exited.
- Bronte is my personal fave. Just around the corner at Clovelley is nice to. Not much beach, just rocks, but if you have a pair of goggles there's an amazing array of underwater life to see.
