Which Australian City is most like Toronto?

****which Australian city is most like Toronto? im looking into moving to Australia for a year but i don't know which one. Can anyone give me a little blurb about each of the cities and what they are like. I'm wondering which ones are most like Toronto. Which ones have the best weather and which have nice beaches? Also what about diversity? Which ones are the more liberal and laid back?

Hi having stayed quite near to Toronto (Fort Erie) and know the place well.Weather wise no Australian city compares to the winters in Ontario on the other hand the summer weather comes close to the summers in Perth,perhaps a bit warmer during summer, knowing Perth in Western Australia it would have to be the most laid back ,liberal and diverse than most cities here and having the most beautiful beaches your looking for.The traffic ain't as bad either. When in Perth ask any South African whats a great city to be in in Australia..
Sydney is quite good though... even its not really like Toronto. Sydney has nice beaches, and its a wonderful place. Surely, its no way better than Toronto, because I love Toronto very much! >.<
Sydney would fill the bill. It's a large, lively city with thriving arts and sports communities and, like Toronto, is on the water.
