So far the things that I have on my list are; -Ferry to Manly -Bondi Beach -Luna Park -Aquarium -China Town -Imax Theatre -Paddington markets Any other good activities? (Going from Tasmania by the way)

  1. There are lot of places to watch in Sydney. The places includes Sydney Harbour Bridge,Opera House,Luna Park,Centre Point Tower, Darling Harbour, Sydney Aquarium, China Town, Royal Botanical Gardens, Hyde Park, Art Gallery, Bondi Beach and Blue Mountains etc. You and your girl friend can go for a romantic lunchcruise on Sydney Harbour. You can watch sydney harbour attractions like Opera house, sydney harbour bridge, sydney aquarium etc while you enjoy the lunch cruise on sydney harbour.
  2. Well those are all pretty good and fun. I loved the Paddy's Market, there is so much stuff and the prices are great. Its close to the gate of Chinatown so you could combine these two things. http://www.yukiba.com/224-sydney-australia-oceania-trip.html
  3. All those sound great. I particularly like the ferry trip to Manly. Try to spend a bit of the day around Circular Quay/Opera House/Botanic Gardens too. For Luna Park – if it's a nice day, try walking across the Harbour Bridge to it (or from it) ... ferry one way, walk the other. Great views. Incidentally, Paddy's Markets and the Paddington Markets are two different things, and both worth checking out. Paddy's is close to Central Station, Railway Square and Chinatown – fairly schlocky in an interesting sort of way – Thursdays & Fridays only, I think, but might include weekends too. Maybe Thursdays & Fridays are for the veggie market section. Anyway, check before you go. Paddington Markets are are in the grounds of a church (can't think of the name of it) on Oxford St, Paddington, a few blocks down from Centennial Park – Saturdays only. Hopefully this links to the map: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Sydney+New+South+Wales&ll=-33.888096,151.230991&spn=0.006733,0.013754&z=17 If you're into markets, go the the Bondi Beach ones (Sundays only) in the school grounds on Campbell Parade (the main drag) – these are similar to the Paddington markets, but different enough to be worth the effort. If you're into walking, there's a path basically all the way from South Head down the coast – you'd pick the section between, say, Bondi and Bronte Beaches. If you're feeling fit and it's a nice day, you might go all the way to Coogee Beach. There are buses connecting each of these to the city, so it's easy to get around. Surf, sun, sand, cafes, scenery ... it's all there. :)
