What the cheapest way to live in Sydney for a couple months?
Me + a friend are travelling around Australia from the beginning of Nov and aren't sure how to go about renting a cheap room/flat share in Sydney preferably near Bondi beach for a couple months while we do some work and check out the sights and beaches. We will also need to find work while we are there....

- shop in LIDL
- you'll have to do it all from that end if you're not going to be staying at a hotel/hostel. Try www.domain.com.au or www.realestate.com.au for rentals. Make sure you have all the appropriate visas, customs in australia are very strict. If you don't have work visa and enough money to support yourself for your stay they'll put you on the next plane back! Have fun, Sydney's my home town and a great place to visit
- Stay at the back packers To get a rental property you need to take a 6 month lease.
- Jennifer is right you have to sign a contract for at least 6 months to get to rent a flat. If you leave earlier, you will lose your bond money. Also, if you want to rent a flat, you have to have a job, there are no chances you will get one if you cannot show that you have got a job and an income. I recommend backpackers places, they are cheap.
