Garie Beach

Is there a minimum age that you can legally drive a car on australian beaches?

  1. Well, just as many countries, the minimum age to obtain a learner's permit in Australia is 16, and you can go through the graduated licensing steps. If you're a visitor to the country, you essentially have to be 21 to rent a car. As far as I know there are no specific regulations regarding how old you have to be to drive on a beach. If it's a public beach then I suppose the only requirement would be that you have a driver's license, and if it's a private beach then there are no requirements because it would be private property...
