Do you think the beaches/tropical weather is nice in Thailand?

I'm American born in Hawaii but have some Thai ancestry and while visiting Thailand I have to say that the beaches there in Phuket were arguably even better than many Hawaiian and Australian beaches and a lot cheaper too almost like a traveler's secret.

1. I'd agree. Thailand is amazing, especially Phuket...and so cheap too! But I'm not sure how much of a secret it is anymore ;)
2. i think that thailand is one of the best places to go if you want to relax in a beautiful beach surroundings. i live in thailand for the time being, while i work in iraq, my wife and i always go to Koh Samui i believe this place is even better than phuket plus not as much tourist as phuket but i love Phuket also. i would recommend going to koh samui to chewang beach, its nice

5. Being cheaper than Hawaii is not hard to do. Thais generally do not swim much and the beaches are generally dirty. I would say Thailand is cheaper but not a good value. Phuket is a tourist trap and Thais there are sleazy scamers.
