What are the best Southern California beaches for Corbina and catching sand crabs?
Every year, I want to try to go Corbina fishing but I have still not gone. This summer I am going to go. I want to stay away from swimmers and surfers. Are there any good ones in orange county or are they all in San Diego County? Thanks for your help

- Venice beach Huntington Beach Bolsa Chica San Clemente San Elijo Trancus Leo Carrillo Sunset Beach Del Mar Ocean Beach Imperial Beach Newport Beach (actually at the mouth of the Santa Ana River) The biggest Corbina I have ever caught were on these beaches in the order of biggest to last. I alwys carry an old leather hippie shoulder strap purse over one shoulder to put my crabs in. as I fish I simply wiggle back and forth in the surf line sand with my heels making swipes in the sand like windshield wipers. This allows me to balance and feel crabs under my toes which I then reach down pick up and drop in the bag. When I find a soft shell crab (about 1 in 12 are) I reel in and put it on as it will most definitely get bit hard and soon. I might have left off the list "the point"
- l'm glad you didn't tell him my favorite beach for corbina, Artie.
