Are there any white sandy beaches in Texas?

Or do all the beaches have the ugly brown sand. Im from Florida and miss the beach. I am now land locked and its driving me crazy. I wanna take a trip down to the coast. What is the best area to visit for the beaches in Texas?

1. No not really. Like Galveston sand isnt white at all. And the water is not pretty at all its not blue like florida
2. yes, McAllen and Corpus Christi
