What are the best beaches/places to retire in Costa Rica?

Currently live in Tx but planning to move costa rica next year. Any suggestions as to where in CR? I suppose the best deals are outside of major towns. Thanks

1. Hi, First it would be best for you to decide, central valley region or the beaches? I would really really recommend you come out here for about a month or more to really get to see the country and where you want to live. 2. ANy beach with northamerican amenities is going to cost you far more here than a similar same beach and amenities in the US (excluding Hollywood's hot spots and cocaine dealers' gated communities in Florida). Even without comparable services Costa Rican beaches are very expensive. SO, do not rely on any advice you get from yahoo answers, a lot of people answering here regularly are land dealers and tourism floggers.
