- Australia by far! NZ is beautiful but Australia has amazing beaches and great surf. Enjoy.
- I wouldn't say Australia BY FAR. There are some great beaches in NZ too, whats wrong with 90 Mile Beach, Coromandel peninsula beaches etc. Australian beaches are more famous, but they are not necessarily all better.
- Australia. Definately. The east coast. In the north you have the great barrier reef, but alont the new south wales coastline there are superb beaches. White sand, sapphire blue water, decent waves, old lighthouses....ahhh Whearas any of New Zealand's beaches seem to be colder and greyer. Great in their own way, but I wouldn't get in the water.
- You are also awarding best answer? Well a mighty big congratulations to you for that. My answer is Australia and yes, I have been all around Autralia and New Zealand. You sound like a bloody headmaster or military officer. Loosen up a bit.
- I'm a New Zealander who lives in Australia. I would say overall Australia. I wouldn't say 'by far' and I would say people who would say 'by far' have never been to a beach in New Zealand. NZ also has its fair share of fine beaches, and no the water's not usually cold nor are the conditions grey. Both countries are well served for great beaches, but Australia I feel has got it a bit better.
