Garie Beach

Can someone please give me some examples of the Great Barrier Reef's producers, consumers, and decomposers?

I need this for my science project, we are studying ecosystems and my group's is the Great Barrier Reef. We need their producer, consumers, and decomposers. Thanks!!

  1. Producer: The photosynthetic algae in the coral which provides a food source of the choral which is then eaten by all manner of animals. Consumers: Fish which eat the choral (parrotfish, angelfish, butterflyfish) predatory fish which eat the other fish (sharks, lionfish, stingrays). Decomposers: Things which break down the waste produced (clams, snails, other mollusks). I guess the parrotfish could also be considered a decomposer because it breaks down the choral.
