Does anyone know any beaches in North Carolina?

I went to mountains with my Youth Group about 3 years ago. While we were there, we stop by this park, and it had a lake and a beach of sand. It was just like a normal beach. Does anyone know a place in North Carolina that has a lake beach? Thanks!

1. The only beach I know of is in Wilmington.
2. Depending on what part of the state you were in could mean that there are several places in the state. White Lake is a lake in southeastern NC that looks like a beach but is a lake.
