Public Comments

  1. Crowded and over priced!
  2. nightlife is ok, crime rate would be ok because even at 3am i don't feel unsafe but there are drunks, addictz and hobos so beware of them. You can take the train to Bondi and a bus which will take 20mins or if u drive there maybe shorter then that. There are fights in Chinatown(sussex) on friday nights
  3. Hi there, I live on the corner of George Street and Bathurst (in the Lumiere block), very near (up the road) from Kent and Sussex. There is virtually no crime north of Bathurst St, it's going south (towards Broadway) that you need to be careful. But I used to go to school on Kent St, and we were all out int he city at lunch and recess and to get between periods, so it can;t be that bad. In general the people are awesome. It's just like any other city on earth. There are bad eggs around the place. There are quite al lot of homeless people, around Town Hall. There are trains to Bondi, I believ that thetrip is about 10 minutes. There are also buses, which tend to take slightly longer (depending on traffic). Driving tends to take 10-20 minutes, again depending on the traffic. Sydney is a great place to be and live. The nightlife is OK, I admit that you can get better elsewhere, but it certainly isn't bad. There is some pretty good shopping in the City. The public transport system isn't bad (when compared to so many other systems) and there is a lot of sightseeing, tourism etc around. The atmosphere very relaxed wherever you go. The beaches are fantastic. Are you coming on holiday? To live? Good luck...
