How does Golbal Warming and Climate Change effect the Great Barrier Reef?
Other than the water levels rising and the sea temperatures rising, effecting the coral.. how else does global warming and climate change effect the great barrier reef?

- Increased temperatures can lead to coral bleaching: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coral_bleaching This combined with increased acidity (from increased CO2, which dissolves to lead to carbonic acid) may prevent coral growth and kill corals that're already there: http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/abstract/318/5857/1737
- I'm not sure, we'll have to wait until the next period of global warming as we are now cooling and have been for a number of years! ''Global Warming'', as Al Gore and the rest of the politically driven alarmists like to call it, is just one part of the Earths natural climate cycle, driven by solar activity, that's why, at the moment we are cooling due to minimal solar activity.
