I live here in Aguadilla P.R and my 3 yr anniversary is coming up and my husband wants to take me to a nice beach with white sand and beautiful blue water.Anyone know of a beach we could go check out? I have been to jobos shacks survivor I have been to alot of the beaches surrounding me.I want a nice beach with pretty white sand and I was reading about gilligans where does the ferry leave from? and do you have to have a passport? I have only been here a few months so I'm just not sure .But I want a white sandy beach where the water is so clear you can see the white sand.

- I was at the Conquistador VERY VERY nice place and beach..
- in aguadilla? you are by the beach! go to isabella and check out jobos beach.... its a nice surfing atmosphere, there are kiosks and a trail that will take you up the sand rocks that are there you can walk to the other side of the beach and there is lagoon etc.... there is also crashboat in aguadilla itself and that is pretty nice too..... enjoy!
- Flamemco beach in Culebra or Guilligan Island in Guanica...
- Get toVieques or Culebra (Flamenco Beach).
- Dele que te llebe a Playa Tortuga en Culebra.
- Playa Sucia at the Cabo Rojo lighthouse, GORGEOUS!!!, get there early, its kind of hard to get to it since its road its not actually a road, its pretty rocky, a pick up truck is recommended, also bring lots of water and a huge umbrella, its a quiet beach, its like a pool, almost no waves, and crystal clear waters, which makes it perfect. And no, you don't need a passport for Gilligan's island, the ferry if I'm not mistaken sails out of Guanica.
- Why don't you guys go spend a few days in Vieques, rent a car and go to the beaches that were part of the old navy land. There are some great rental apartments there that are affordable, check out vrbo.com and look under puerto rico and there is a whole section on vieques. If this is totally out of the question then Guilligans Island is great. I have been there many times and the water is just what you are looking for, as is the white sand. I am telling you from experience that you must not go on the weekend, unless you want to fight for a spot in the sand with a hundred other people. You don't need a passport, but bring a cooler stocked with drinks because there is nothing on the island except bathroom, and changing rooms. They will charge you to take anything but a foam cooler, it's like $5. You want to arive there well before the time the first ferry leaves which is 10am, usually. From Aguadilla it will be about a 2 1/2 hr drive, just follow the #2 down past Mayaguez and stay on till you get to Guanica you'll be looking for the road #116 and you'll take that till you come to a sign for road #333, there is a burger king right at that intersection. This road takes you through the dry forest, You will pass the resort, Copa Marina, and it is the imidiate right after the resort. Park in the little marina and go to the white building, they are bilingual so just tell them how many people and if you have a cooler. They will deliver lunch to you on the island (for an extra charge of course) so ask what they are serving that day and just tell them what time you want it. The ferry goes back and forth every hour till 5pm. You have to start out EARLY, but it is so worth it. Oh, they are closed Monday, I always go on Wednesday. Happy beach going, and if you ever need any advice about PR, feel free to send me an email, I've been here 8 years and have played tourguide to dozens of visiting family members.
