  1. That really depends on what you are interested in, this page has quite a lot of info. about sites in Sydney: http://www.sydneyfriends.tv/sydneysights.phtml If you like buildings/architecture there are some beautiful theaters, churches and shopping centers in Sydney. If you want to see places close to the city, I would recommend walking around Darling Harbour, and/or the Botanical Gardens.
  2. I was just there last week. We visited Homebush to see where the olympics were held. Went to Manley and Bondi. Explored King Street shopping in Newtown. Went to King's Cross. Also went to the Powerhouse Museum which was excellent.
  3. there's heaps in the city.. check out darling harbour.. not really the "best sight" just some murky water. and some fools ripping down one of the best part of it to build offices. the chinese gardens are sweet.. china town.. paddies markets.. grab the ferry from cirqular quay.. go to cockatoo island, or manly.. check out the botanical gardens.. newtowns nice :) real good shopping.. kings cross is an experience to be had at night, or oxford street. bondi i spose, i dont particularly like bondi, and its not the simplest to get to by public transport. but just ask someone at the station theyll direct you to a bus.. if you can get a car, definatley check out the royal national park.. maybe theres transport there, weve always just driven.. its really pretty and nice. especially check out wattamola in there, theres a huge rock you can jump off.. theres a few rapids here and there.. heres a sight.. http://www.visitnsw.com/town/Audley/Royal_National_Park/info.aspx duno how good it is.. just google it. you can camp in the park but yeah we have luna park.. kinda cheesy. and check out the rocks if you look up when the rocks markets are on, theyre pretty nice glebe markets are good too. blaaaah then theres stuff like opera house, harbour bridge, center point towner.. whatever :D have fun
  4. Check out the Sydney tower skywalk - you can see the whole city from there. Or a stroll through Chinatown for cheap souveniers, and have a look at Circular Quay - which is quite scenic (the opera house is there) and always has a lot of buskers
