1. I maintain a blog with daily updates - www.afterwilma.info 60% of Cancun's beach has now been recovered. The project will be completed by April 30th. Steve
2. I don't know what everyone is talking about. I just came back from spring break last sunday. i would say a LARGE MAJORITY of the MAJOR HOTELS are CLOSED. The Hilton, The Ritz Carlton, AQUA, The Hyatt - also i was there last year for spring break it was SO MUCH BETTER, there arent many tourists down there and after talking with the locals they told me they would say about 50% recovered. even the outdoor mall is closed, planet hollwyood is closed, the hard rock is closed. the snorkeling sucked - if your going to party the clubs are open but honestly there wasnt a lot of people down there. its fun but you might want to go somewhere else this year and plan cancun next year. hope this helped. also TRIPADVISOR.COm is an awsome site that will give you actual guests pictures and expierences from any of the hotels.
