Holiday destination - any suggestion for a good beach holiday?

Hiya, My boyfriend and I were thinking about maybe going on holiday later this year, or next summer... but we can't really think of where to go. We'd like a beach holiday in Europe (to keep the flight costs down) and preferably somewhere that isn't really over-run with tourists. I was thinking about the Balearic Islands (Menorca, not Mallorca... the latter is a bit of a tourist honeypot now...) or maybe Italy? Can anyone offer any suggestions? (Bearing in mind we want to keep it as cheap as possible!!)

1. Anywhere within Europe this year will be expensive due to the drop in the EURO. Look up prices for holidays in Turkey or Sunny Beach Bulgaria. Nice places for a beach holiday :-))
