- Yes, you're right, Bondi beach is in Sydney, New South Wales. It's in the eastern suburbs.
- Bondi is a Sydney suburb and Sydney is the capital city of the State of New South Wales. Australia is a Federation like the USA so we have states. The states have their own parliaments, Premiers and Governors. They are Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. The Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory also have their own parliaments but are under the control of the Federal Government which can and has disapproved legislation made by the territory parliaments. The Australian Antarctic Territory which has few residents (funny, that) has no parliament and is entirely administered by the Federal Government.
- Bondi Beach is located 7 kilometres east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Waverley Council, in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Bondi, North Bondi and Bondi Junction are separate neighbouring suburbs. You're correct, it is in the State of New South Wales, Sydney is the Capital City of NSW.
