Where are some nice beaches in North Carolina?

I'm looking for a vacation spot in N.C. Myrtle Beach in S.C. is too busy. I would like a quieter beach with a nice hotel/resort.

5. Rodanthe Ocracoke....(Rated in the top 10 beaches in the U.S.) Any of the beaches on Hatteras Island Went to Ocracoke on Memorial Day weekend and We were the only people on the beach for as far as the eye could see. Also great fishing, Lighthouses, food, and shopping
