  1. The water will be absolutely freezing--bring a wetsuit. In San Jose, the average high for April is 72. In San Diego, the average high in 69. I guess it really depends on your definition of "warm" but I think that's still rather cold. Don't go in April. Or go to Mexico. Cabos San Lucas in April can get up to 84.
  2. The weather may be warm, but the water will be ICE COLD! Sorry.
  3. I think you heard about Carlsbad. Carlsbad, California is laid back and just perfect for the vacationer who wants more than the usual tourist activities. Here you will really experience the true San Diego culture and take home memories that will last a lifetime. From world-class surfing to world-class shopping you will get everything here. The weather is most always temperate; almost always warm and sunny .In April the maximum temperature is 65°F and the minimum is 58°F. If you want to spend your vacation in Carlsbad then you can check this out: http://www.carlsbadbeaches.com/carlsbad-weather.html You will get your required information here.
  4. The only warm beaches in California are in Baja California South. Try Cabo.
