How to i get work in the great barrier reef?

I live in tasmania and want to go and work in the great barrier reef over summer in bars, resorts, on boats and watersports. Whats the best way to do that? Also, does anyone have any idea of what i should do next year? anything where i can earn money and be bale to travel

2. Try the Centrelink at Airlie Beach. You'll probably be able to access those jobs from other Centrelinks around the country. Or just turn up in Airlie beach and start doorknocking. Or send a resume to human resources at the various resorts.
3. There is always jobs in tourism out on the reef. Green Island resort are always advertising for staff, waiters, porters etc. Also Quicksilver and Great Adventures that do the tours out and around the reef. Your best bet it to look in the Cairns Post newspaper Wed and Saturdays, or email the company's direct. You can also subscribe to the paper online. There is a FITZROY ISLAND HUNT RESORT opening in Dec this year - be in quick they are wanting alot of staff, also live on positions. 4. The local paper here (Cairns Post) always carries ads for deckhands on charter boats and hospitality industry vacancies (bar & kitchen staff). Suggest you get your local newsagent to order in the Saturday edition of the paper for you.
5. Go onto www.voyages.com.au They are an Australian travel company with resorts everywhere from the Daintree to Ayers Rock and various islands from far north QLD through the Whitsundays to the end of the reef with islands like Heron and Wilson Islands, off Gladstone. They are ALWAYS looking for staff at these incredible places, and I ought to know as Ive worked for them on the islands and the red center. Youll have an absolute blast and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Have fun!
