What do you guys think of the UK and Australia?

To me, they're about the same crap. They have pretty much the same accents, but here are some distinctions: 1. UK: gloomy weather, depressed people, pale, ugly teeth, queeny 2. Australia: great weather, beautiful beaches, crikey dingo talk everywhere by everyone, kangaroos, steve irwin what about you guys?

  1. Good luck learning to use the knife and fork. You're drooling!!
  2. Word of advise, don't let any person from the UK or Australia see this posting. It is not only offensive, but makes you look totally ignorant outside of your bedroom. To answer your question though, I don't know anything really to have any judgement about Australians or their country. But for the UK, I have been there before and I just remember how nice everyone is and how green the landscape is. We drove throughout the countryside to see what else England had to offer besides London, and we always ran into herds of sheep, especially as we neared Scotland. As for the ugly teeth stereotype, you will definitely find it there, but mostly in the more rural settings. One time my family stopped in front of some random house on the side of the road to look at the map, and an old woman comes out and walks towards us. We thought she was going to shoot throw crap at us and tell us to scram (since people in America would do that), but instead she asked if we needed directions. So, don't have opinions about Australia, and I only ran into a few so far, all of whom were very friendly and cheerful (almost to a creepy point), and for the UK, very distant relatives to say the least. We speak the same language and we are great allies, but culturally, very different.
  3. You have never been to either countries have you!? and i'm guessing your American, surprise surprise. You really have no idea. I feel sorry for you.
  4. That's why I love Brazil!!!
  5. UK, great greeniery soccer and rocknroll Austrailia.. outback beautiful scenery but everything there is poisonious
  6. good answer benwells. some thoughts from australia. Americans are loud, and speak with a weird drawl. English - loved the place, had a great holiday. We are all capable of finding negative things to say about other nationalities, its called bigotry.
  7. I think they are more peaceful than America.
  8. no one says crikey shit like that here sometimes when we go over seas we do it for fun and unfortunately steve irwins dead.
  9. Would you like my opinions on your country??.... probably not... My very good American friend said to me - "most of the interesting people in the USA will hold a passport" I didn't understand until later - I'm guessing you're far too young to travel... I live in Manchester, UK, the computer was developed here, it has a really great social scene, loads of museums, art galleries, universities, very multi-cultural & strangely people don't seem to make sweeping generalisations about other countries & cultures..... Have a nice day
