beach resorts with good amenities and good prices? Any beach/spa resorts in the Midwest area.

1. Sandals in Jamaica is pretty awesome. They often have 50% off deals, and you can stay for a week for between 2-3k in one of the better rooms, all inclusive.
2. Added later: Judging from your additional details, in the midwest, your closest beach resorts will be in Texas and we're still experiencing the 60's to 80's for highs right now. Unfortunately, many resorts were blasted by the hurricane that hit Galveston this year, but there are a good number in south Texas that are still in great shape! January will start the high season in Mexico, so if you book now for December, you can get lower rates. *********************************************************** Yes, it depends on where you want to go and how much you want to spend. There are several that come to mind. Ocean80 Condo in the Florida Keys is nice. (Lowest cost) Boca Raton Resort & Club (5-Star, VERY expensive) Stella Maris in the Bahamas Atlantis in the Bahamas (close by, mid-range cost, but good value) Sandals resorts in various places in the Bahamas and Caribbean (all-inclusive & High cost) El Conquistador Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico The Sheraton Black Rock in Kaanapali, Maui, Hawai'i If you're interested in a cheap beach vacation, the Florida Keys is great for that. Fly into Miami and drive down the keys to Key West. There are a bunch of economical hotels along the way and you have a choice of quiet, out of the way places, or head to Key West for alot of activity and a busy nighttime bar scene. There's a Holiday Inn at the north end of Key West with good rates and a nice beach too.
3. orlando is not near the beaches, you can go to key west, miami beach, or vero beach those are nice, in Hollywood florida they have the diplomat hotel it is a very nice resort
