Where are the best beaches in Washington State to have a Birthday BBQ?

I was thinking of have a birthday BBQ for my 22nd and i am not quite sure what are the best beaches in Washington preferable towards Seattle.

1. Might try Lake Chelan or Long Beach. Might try one of the islands that the ferry goes to like Banbridge so you could add the ferry ride to the experience.
2. Alki Beach is perfect for a BBQ!
3. Alki is a beautiful beach in West Seattle that overlooks Downtown Seattle. It can be really packed and tough to get a lot of space on the weekends. Golden Gardens, in the Ballard area is another beautiful place, with the train tracks, water, the open outdoors! There's some nice waterfront parks on the Eastside as well, in Kirkland and Bellevue, but I don't know if that's out of where you might want to go...
