Which is a better place to live Bondi beach or Woollahra?

I will being going to work in Australia for 2 months and I have never been there before. I just wanted to know since I'm gonna be there for the winter I don't care if its near the beach. I would like to be closer to the city and close to shops, restaurants, and its very important that I have a quick comute to the center of Sydney. Which area is the better choice?

1. woollahra as its less d!ckheads zooming around as opposed to the beach. Its close but pretty expensive if u want to stay in something nice.
2. Woollahra's a bit more upmarket. Both suburbs are pretty convenient though.
3. if you like to be surrounded by english tourists then bondi, otherwise woollahra
4. Woollahra is a ritzy suburb of Sydney very nice area.Bondi beach is fantastic in the summer thousands of tourists running every where.Both are nice places though.
