Garie Beach

What are the beaches of South Carolina like?

Is there much sand? Is it wide or narrow? Crowded much? Are there long stretches of unbroken sand? Can you drive on them? Is there much sea grass? Are there a lot of rules? Thank you.

  3. they are full of rednecks
  4. beautiful im sure.
  5. I've only been to myrtle beach, and I thought it was amazing!! the beaches weren't packed, and the water was very clean, and the ocean seeming to be scraped out and cleaned on the bottom bc there were no shells to have to step on. It's very relaxed and there isn't too much advertisements. I loved myrtle beach so much!! I'm from Jersey, and you have to pay to get on our beaches and there's always trash everywhere and so much advertising it's terrible!
  6. It really depends on where you go. Some beaches are extremely crowded (most popular ones). Others are pretty bare. Every beach has it's own rules...
  7. its nice i went to myrtal beach(sp)
  8. just come to new york city and go shopping at saks and fith ave. u will feel much better, and u dont have to worry about getting sunburn, and looking at ugly people in a 2 piece
  9. there is alot of sand and it is somewhat wide. they tend to get crowed during june and july especially and around the 4th of july is the highest peak.there are really long patches of unbroken sand depending on where you are, and i am not sure if you can drive on them or not. However, i do know that you can rent sand bikes to ride around the beach on.there are some rules, but nothing to harsh to spoil the fun.
  10. Depending on the week, Myrtle Beach is quite large, not too many people, long stretches unbroken sand, you can drive and there no sea grass. The only rule is don't drive on sand dunes.
  11. Yeah alot of sand. About right in size. Crowds depend on what time of year you go, and place. Ex. Myrtle beach during the summer = crowded Remote areas have some unbroken sand, but not really You cannot really drive on them unless you work for the beach in the area or you are law enforcement. Sea grass is in the dunes. (Beautiful) No not alot of rules, other than the usual rules
  12. There is a lot of sand. It is very deep. The beaches are about 100' at low tide from water to grass. Some places are more crowded than others and the time and date matter for this. There are long stretches of unbroken sand. No driving on the beaches. Sea grass appears in some places. There are some rules, but not dozens. Rules vary with location. Regards, Dan
  13. SC beaches are OUTSTANDING!! TONS of soft sand & TONS of seashells NOT crowded at all, the most private coast Ive been on HUGE & Beautiful, longest seashell stretch in the USA MILES of coastal walking It IS grassy in SC, but not near the coast (beach front) NOT alot of rules (no lifeguard, or beach patrol on site) Dogs ARE allowed, as is alcohol GREAT fishing I dont know of anywhere on SC beach, that driving is allowed A very romantic, private, and beautiful coast!!!!!
  14. Myrtle Beach is great,I remember one time,I walked down to the beach right before the sun rise,it was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen, the sun rising over the ocean,as if to smile at me.I tilt my head back, take a deep breathe, smile, and a complete peace comes over me.
  15. it is AWESOME! the water is nice in the summer, it is as busy as other beaches. really busy on the weekends(including fri.) there is lots of sand, i guess it is wide, the sand sometimes has glass, but it is burried, i dont know if u can drive on them, probably though, well, there is always sea grass at any beach, i never been to beach that had rules(well at least not that i know of) if u get up realley early, like around 5-6 o'clock, the best seashells will be on the beach.(unless that was n.carolina, nope,i think it was s.) hav fun!!
