Where should we go on vacation?
My parents want to take us on a vacation - there are 4 of us (dad - 55, mom - 54, me (female) - 25, my brother - 21. We live in the Dallas, TX area. We aren't looking for "the vacation of a lifetime" or anything, mainly just to relax, have fun, and be together. Comparable vacations (in terms of cost and distance) we've taken in the past are - a week at an all inclusive resort in Cancun, a week in Estes Park Colorado (Rocky Mountain national park), a week in a rental house in the Texas Hill country, a week in a beachfront hotel in South Padre, that kind of thing. The problem is this - some of us DON't like beaches where the water isn't clear (murky water...uugghhh), Colorado is too far to drive, and we want something different than the Hill country. We want somewhere there are things to do, yet you can just hang out too. Oh and we want to go in August. One more thing, we really aren't interested in a cruise. We get along, but not well enough to share a cabin. THANKS!!

- Branson, MO. There is a lot their to do. I wish I could think of the name of the resort we stayed at. It was south or Branson right on a table rock lake, I think. It had horse back riding and swimming, boats to rent and water skiing. Branson had amusement parks and all kinds of live entertainment. You can spend a day in Arkansas mining for diamonds. You can go on up to Springfield to Bass Pro Shop or to St. Louis.... that is a real fun town too. What ever you do ---- have fun. we loved Branson.

- This my be a bit far away, but there is the Wisconsin Dells Wilderness Resort. It is a water park that is really cool. It has waterslides, pools with big waves in them, arcades, Lazor Tag arenas, and much, much, more.
