going to texas.. want to visit the beaches from san antonio.. which is closest and best for kids?

have been to east coast.. lived on west coast.. want to take 4 year old to play in the water on coast.. which is better and closer..?? cleanest too... corpus or galveston or maybe another idea? will be at sea world 2 days and want a quick get a way

1. Galveston is nicer than Corpus Christi (it has Imax, museums, shopping, etc.), in my opinion but check out this website for details of the various beaches and what they each have to offer: http://tourtexas.com/gulf.html
2. Galveston are nicer and cleaner. there is the moody gardens, space center, and schlitterbahn water park.
