Pristine beaches in Texas?

I've been to Galveston Island and the water is very nasty. It's like mud water and smell very fishy with lots of seaweeds. It has been 3 years since I get my bikinis and go to a beach. I'm thinking Florida, but the time is too short. I just saw a commercial in the TV that has white sandy beach and clear blue water. Is there any of those beaches in TX? or all the beaches is the same quality?

1. Yeah, Texas beaches are pretty nasty if you've ever been to a real beach. I've only been to Galveston and Port Aransas. At least Galveston has some nice hotels. I absolutely hated Port Aransas. I would suggest just saving up for a vacation in Florida.
2. Wow, I really liked the beach in Port Arnasas. The beaches in Florida are really nice too. Padre Island is really something else. Maybe it depends on the time of year. I was there in December and loved the place.
