Can somebody give tell me of some nice beaches in Texas?

I went to Galvaston and it was like a toilet bowl. Nasty. Is there any other nice beaches? Is south padre better ? Small beaches? Thanks

1. I went to south Padre on my spring break. I remember the beaches being really nice.
2. Ha. Anything is better than Galveston. Of course South Padre is better, I thinks it's nicest beach we have. Then there's Corpus Christi. The further from Houston the better - Houston Ship Channel and plants in the Bay area do it in for this side of Texas' beaches.
3. the beaches from mustang Island north padre and south padres island are nice beaches ...there is usually a medium surf the water is warm and the sand is nice ... there is usually a few tar balls so have some mineral spirits to clean your feet the tar is from natural seeps in the gulf of Mexico
