Info On California, Beaches Places To Stay??? (Skim)?

in the summer im going to california and i need some info I'm Into Skimboarding and I want to visit all the good beaches...aliso beach laguna santa cruz? anybody been and have any infomation or somthing?

2. What part of California are you going to visit? because it's pretty huge... I know lots of crowded beaches, and deserted ones. Sandy ones, rocky ones. North coast, central coast, southern cal. Cold ones, slightly warmer ones.. What part are you visiting, because you're talking about 800 miles of coastline here.
